The Christ of San Damiano is an icon of the 12th century by unknown painter, which was in the little Church of San Damiano, near Assisi, Italy. Tradition tells that while Saint Francis was praying before this image in the church in ruins, Christ asked him to “repair his house…”.

El Cristo de San Damián es un icono del S.XII. de pintor desconocido que se encontraba en la pequeña Iglesia de San Damián, cerca de Asís, Italia. La tradición cuenta que estando San Francisco orando en la iglesia en ruinas, ante esta imagen, Cristo le pidió que “reparara su casa…”.
