LUCAS el Evangelista
San Lucas, discípulo de San Pablo, médico, pintor, escritor y apóstol. Escribió el Evangelio de San Lucas y los Hechos de los Apóstoles. Conoció personalmente a la Virgen María y según la tradición sería el primer pintor de íconos.

LUKE the Evangelist
Saint Luke, disciple of St.Paul. Physician, painter, writer and apostle. He wrote the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. He met Mary. Christian tradition from the 8th century identifies him as the first icon painter. Feast day October 18th.
